Lincoln (Ill) vs #14 IU-East – 7:00pm CT – Watch Live
Why Game of the Week?
A lot of really good games we could have chosen, but this one comes down to the Trayvon Tyler vs Bishop Smith match-up! These two guards are fun to watch. Both will let it fly, and can fill up the stat sheet quick. It is also the first real test for Lincoln to earn some national respect. IU-East is the real deal, but it’s their first game of the season. Lincoln is 2-0 and has a really tough schedule ahead. They will bring the energy, and we expect IU-East will be ready to match that intensity.

Outlook
#14 IU-East returns All-American guard Bishop Smith who averaged 18ppg last season. They also return 3 other starters including 2nd leading scorer, Jalen McKay, who averaged 14ppg last season. It’s their first game of the season, but they have the experience, talent, and coaching to be a serious National Title contender this season.
Lincoln sits at 2-0 this season, so they have the game legs. They are smaller, and have only been playing about 7-8 guys. They are quick, scrappy, and know how to score it. It will be interesting to see if they get a couple more guys back for this weekend. Rumor has it that their 6’9 Illinois St transfer may be still working to get cleared to play. How Lincoln handles the size of IU-East will be important. This isn’t a make or break weekend for Lincoln, but they do have a chance to put themselves on the map!
