WHY GAME OF THE WEEK?
How can you not have the rematch of the 2018 National Football Title game as your Game of the Week?!? Oh, this is Basketball? Well, these two basketball programs are also both in the Top 10 in NAIA DI and DII. This is also the last season of having two divisions, so we may not get many more games that feature a Top 10 team from both divisions. Outlook
#4 Morningside has had the week off after returning home from a VERY impressive Michigan trip that saw them take down NAIA DII #23 Indiana Tech, and #12 Cornerstone (MI). The Mustangs have looked every bit of their preseason ranking, but have to take to another true road game against NAIA DI #9 Benedictine College. Returning All-Americans Tyler Borchers, and Zach Imig have been outstanding already in the early part of this season.
#9 Benedictine comes into the match-up at 1-1 after losing to Concordia (NE) on the road last Saturday. They did get Colby Nickels back, who started in 32 games and was an All-Heart performer last season, but are still playing without stud big man Eric Krus, who was 2nd Team All-Heart of America last season, and averaged 12.3ppg, 5.5rpg as a Freshman. They do have a guy we know well, Jaiden Bristol, back at PG. One of the more underrated guards in the country, Jaiden has been spectacular for this Ravens squad early in the year, and they will need another big performance from him to win this game!
