A battle of two teams that currently sit atop the AAC Standings. Bryan is currently 1-0 in league play and 4-1 overall. They haven’t played in a few weeks now, so will need to shake the rust off quick as they hit the road to play a Milligan squad that sits at 3-1 in AAC play.ย
ย Campbellsville @ Pikeville 6:00pm ETย Live Video
Sign us up for some Jordan Perry vs Taiveyhon Mason in this matchup! Two electric guards who can really score it! Pikeville and 1st year Head Coach Tigh Compton are still looking for that first Mid-South Conference win. Campbellsville currently sits at 1-0 in MSC play, but because of Covid, this is their first road game of the season.
We are starting to see a bit of a log jam in the middle of the GPAC Standings. Jamestown got a big win over #7 Morningside to start GPAC play but has sputtered a bit since then. They are really good at home this season, but will have a veteran Dordt team coming to town today!
Five Players To Watch
Jordan Perry 6’3 G UPike – 24.67ppg/3rpg/2apg
Perry currently sits 2nd in the Mid-South in points per game and is 16th in the country in scoring. He has good handles and knows how to change speeds to get defenders off balance. The shifty guard can score it from all over the court.
Taiveyhon Mason 5’10 G Campbellsville – 18.5ppg/2.5rpg/5apg
Taiveyhon is a really electric scorer who can take over games. His quickness and speed makes him tough to guard. He hasn’t been held under 15 points yet this season and in his last two games went for 22pts against Union and 17pts against Bethel (TN).ย
Mason Walters 6’9 F Jamestown – 23.3ppg/13rpg
One of the best bigs in the country. Mason is just a Sophomore and is a double-double machine. He currently leads all of NAIA in total rebounds. Ranks 2nd in total scoring. Is 4th in Defensive Rebounds per game. Plain and simple, the kid is just a stud!
David Tripp 6’5 F Milligan – 26.6ppg/6.0rpg
David is a machine! Kid is 2nd in the Appalachian Athletic Conference in scoring which also puts him at 10th in the country. He is shooting 61% from the field and has a knack for finishing at the rim.ย
Jesse Jansma 6’4 G 14.1ppg/2.9rpg/3.9apg
Jesse is part of a two headed monster with Garrett Franken that are both 1,000pt scorers. Just great careers for both and they will look to add to it tonight as they travel to Jamestown for a big GPAC matchup. Jansma is a knockdown shooter who is also 17th in the country in total assists.ย
