Games of the Day:

William Jessup @ #7 Lewis-Clark State Noon MT Live Video

William Jessup is coming off of two really great battles with #15 College of Idaho. The first game they lost in OT, but then came back on Saturday to get the tough road win. This will be a really good test for #7 Lewis-Clark State. With the Cascade Collegiate Conference not having a true regular season this year, LCSC will welcome the challenge to try to prepare them for a National Tournament bid. This game also features a really great PG battle between All-American Damek Mitchell from LCSC and the Freshman phenom Myles Corey of William Jessup.

6 Georgetown @ Campbellsville 4:00pm ET Live Video

Rivalry games are always fun! These two have had some battles over the past few years. Really looking forward to seeing this matchup this afternoon. Georgetown brought in a couple of guys at the break. With Jake Ohmer not playing right now the additions have gone along ways to add some depth to the roster. Taiveyhon Mason has had a great season thus far for Campbellsville. If they can find a way to slow down Kyran Jones of GTown, then they should be right in this game!

RV Bethel (IN) @ 20 Saint Francis (IN) 5:00pm ET Live Video

What an awesome backcourt matchup this game brings us today! Crews and Owens from Bethel vs Cushinberry and Mull!! This game should be up-tempo and should be really fun. When it is all said and done put your money on David Ejah of Saint Francis to have a big impact on this game as well.

14 Providence (MT) @ Montana Tech 7:00pm MT Live Video

We normally only go with 3 Games of the Day, but we couldn’t leave this game out.  It is our first chance to see #14 Providence and NPOY Candidate Zaccheus Darko-Kelly. All-American Sindou Diallo of Montana Tech is starting to roll offensively and the Orediggers have the advantage of being at home and of playing games this year already. Should be a great Frontier College matchup this evening.

Five Players To Watch

#12 Damek Mitchell 5’9 G Lewis-Clark State
#3 TreVion Crews 6’0 G – Bethel (IN)
#2 Zaccheus Darko-Kelly – 6’6 W Providence (MT)
#2 James Jones 6’4 W -Shawnee State
#34 Chandler Clements 6’7 F Bethel (TN)

One of, if not the, best PG in NAIA. The All-American has been a staple in this Warrior lineup for the past few years and is the motor that makes them go. Dam is a headsy PG who has a great feel for the game and can hurt you by scoring the ball or by setting up teammates to score. He is a true competitor who is fun to watch.ย

TreVion Crews is special and is part of a special backcourt at Bethel (IN). He is a dynamite scorer who will fill up the stat sheet. One of the most electric guards in NAIA. Crews and backcourt running mate Zac Owens are one of the better back court duos in NAIA, and will face another great one today against #20 St. Francis (IN).

This is our first look at Darko-Kelly this season. Zaccheus is no stranger to those who have followed NAIA DI basketball the past few years. He had a big time run at the NAIA National Tournament as a Freshman at Montana Western. The All-American then transferred with Coach Steve Keller to Providence. He had another All-American season last year and was the first player in NAIA history to be named National Player of the Week, 3 weeks in a row.

James Jones continues to be special. In his last two games he has dropped 26 and 28 points. He is 4th in the Mid-South in scoring at 21.2ppg. He also leads the team in assists per game at 3.7. This Shawnee State team is playing some great basketball right now and its James Jones who is bringing a spark to the offensive side of the ball for a team who is great defensively.ย

Chandler is a load inside for Bethel (TN). We have listed him as a player to watch before and he went off for 35pts and 9 rebounds that day. He faces off today against a good Freed Hardeman team who will look to get the ball out of his hands. Clements is currently 3rd in the Mid-South in ppg at 21.9. The Sophomore is going to have to have another HUGE game if Bethel wants to get a big MSC win!
