Games of the Day:

ย Southeastern @ Warner 7:30pm ETย Live Video

This Warner team has won four in a row now to put them in 1st place out in The Sun Conference. Tonight they host the regular season favorites Southeastern with a chance to have a three game lead in the standings with a win. Southeastern has been without stud Sophomore Riley Minix since the middle of December. They lost to this Warner team at home two days later by 26. Southeastern needs this win to stop from falling three games behind for The Sun regular season title.ย

RV Jamestown @ Dordt 8:00pm CTย Live Video

Jamestown sits in 3rd place in the GPAC, just 1 game back of both Morningside and Dakota Wesleyan. They have a win over Morningside already and play Dakota Wesleyan next week. They can’t overlook this tough Dordt team though, especially on the road. Dordt has plenty of guys with experience in big GPAC games. This game should be a really good one!

Thomas More @ RV Freed Hardeman 9:00pm ETย Live Video

Thomas More has now won three straight games including a 40pt win over #17 Georgetown. Freed-Hardeman hasn’t played a home game since November 19th.ย  Kortland Martin and Wanya King will look to power FHU on the perimeter while Reid Jolly andย  Ryan Batte will look to power Thomas More to a big road victory. A lot of good matchups in this game on both ends of the floor.

ย

Five Players To Watch

#0 Kortland Martin 6’0 G Freed Hardeman

We have been on the Kortland Martin bandwagon for awhile now. He is coming off of a 29pt performance at Campbellsville. The Lions haven’t been at home in almost two months now and the Senior will be looking to protect home court tonight against a tough Thomas More team.ย

#3 Rod Boggan 6’1 G Warner

The Sophomore is a big part of why Warner sits in 1st place in The Sun Conference Standings. He dropped 24pts on Southeastern the last time these two met. Expect Rod to have another big game today!ย

#12 Tony Burks 6’2 G Columbia

Tony Burks has really lit it up for Columbia this season averaging nearly 19ppg. The Junior guard was named the AMC POW winner the last time we had him featured as a Player to Watch and has put up good numbers all year long. He is coming off of a 17pt performance and should put up big numbers tonight against Hannibal Lagrange.ย

#3 Reid Jolly 6’5 W Thomas More

The reigning Mid-South Freshman of the Year has already put together another great start to his Sophomore campaign averaging 18ppg and 7.7rpg. Jolly can get hot from the perimeter and really helps to stretch out opposing defenses. He is shooting the three at 41% clip and you can’t leave him to go help on Batte. Reid is a really good offensive weapon for the Saints.ย

#33 Mason Walters 6’9 F Jamestown

Mason is an absolute monster. There are a lot of great Sophomores in NAIA, but Mason may be the best one in the class right now. At 6’9, he is a beast in the paint and a relentless rebounder. He currently leads the NAIA in total rebounds with 216 and is second in total points at 392. I know they have played more games then some, but he is still third in NAIA in both DRPG at 9.5 and RPG at 13.5. The kid is a complete beast for the Jimmies!ย
