The Crossroads League 2nd and 3rd place teams are set to battle it out tonight. Really excited for this game as it features a lot of great talent. The trio of Bethel guards have been dynamic this year. Marian will look to use their advantage on the inside with All-American Cameron Wolters.
These two had some great battles last season. While some of the players have left, it is still primed for a fun matchup again tonight. ONU has one of the best bigs in the country in Alex Gross. They also counter him well with John Content on the outside. Storm Cook will look to lead a very balanced Holy Cross attack tonight. This CCAC game is one that could mean a lot for tie breakers down the road.
11 Dakota Wesleyan @ RV Jamestown 7pm CT Live Video
Big game here for both teams. Dakota Wesleyan who once had a two game lead in the GPAC, but is all of a sudden tied now with 15 Morningside. Jamestown could use the home upset win to keep pace in the standings as well. This has all the makings for a big time game!
Five Players To Watch
It’s not been a great year for Culver-Stockton, but the Freshman Fry has been a bright spot in a team that is building for the future. Fry is getting a lot of shot attempts for Culver and that has helped the youngster to averaging 24.6ppg. That is good enough for 10th in the country right now. He has only had one game this season where he has been under 20ppg. He also leads Culver in assists per game at 3.86. Bright, bright future ahead for this kid!
We mentioned James on our Podcast a couple weeks ago. A member of the CCAC All-Conference team last season, James Pennington has started off his Junior season playing well again. He is currently averaging 17.5ppg and 6.5rpg bringing a much needed spark to this Trolls squad this semester. They hit the road tonight to face a good Saint Ambrose team and will need a big night from James and company to get the upset.
Davonte Pack currently leads the Falcons in points per game (18.85), rebounds per game 9.46 and assists per game (3.0). He is so aggressive to the rim and competes on the glass. Makes him a tough matchup every night. He is coming off a game where he shot 18 FT’s, yes 18!!! He finished the game with 29 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. The guy can really fill up a stat sheet and is really worth watching!!
This past game Durnell went for a 27pt, 19reb double-double and surpassed 1,500 career points. It felt like the right time to talk about one of our favorites. The All-American is currently 2nd in the NAIA in Defensive Rebounds Per Game at 9.55 and 7th in RPG at 11.55. His 24.33ppg ranks him 11th in the NAIA. The season hasn’t gone the way he wishes from a W-L standpoint, but BD has been crazy good this season!
Clif Snow is back as Lourdes looks to play their 3rd game since a nearly 2 and a half month pause to their season. Snow was an All-American last season and is now a 2x 1st Team All-WHAC performer. In four games this season he leads the Gray Wolves in scoring, assists, steals and blocks. His size, length and ability on the perimeter makes him a tough matchup. Today’s game with Point Park, is Lourdes last tune up before WHAC play starts!
One of the articles that, unfortunately, was pulled from this year’s magazine was the Non-Conference games that we have circled to watch! These are simply
