Games of the Day:

14 Talladega vs 24 Dillard 2:30pm CT Live Video

The GCAC Regular Season Title is on the line this afternoon. Talladega can win it outright with the win and become the 2nd team this season to be crowned a regular season champion! Xavier was able to shut down Darryl Baker last night, but Dega showed off it’s depth and played some great defense to get the win. Dillard is led by All-American Malik Amos and they will be looking to make it a 3-way split for the GCAC Title today! A lot on the line in what should be a highly spirited game!

18 Marian @ 11 Bethel (IN) 7pm ET Live Video

Speaking of a lot on the line, this Bethel/Marian game is going to be a lot of fun. Despite a complete collapse, both teams should be in the National Tournament, but with Grace chomping at the bit in 4th place, both of these teams could use a win to hold ground for seeding! This game features some great guards on both ends of the floor, but Bethel will need to contain All-American Cameron Wolter on the inside today!

9 Morningside @  16 Dakota Wesleyan 8pm CT Live Video

Our THIRD top 25 matchup of the day! Two heavyweights in the GPAC battling it out.  DWU was able to go to Morningside and get a win earlier this year, now they will look to protect the World’s Only Corn Palace tonight. The winner takes over sole position of 1st place in the GPAC. The loser could move to 3rd behind Jamestown. Trey Brown has been a double-double monster on the inside for Morningside, while Nick Harden has given his best effort for GPAC POY honors from the outside for DWU.

Five Players To Watch

#3 Nick Harden 5’10 G Dakota Wesleyan

– 9th in NAIA in total steals

– 19th in NAIA in SPG with 2.44

– 49th in NAIA in total assists

– 7th in the GPAC in scoring, 1st in steals, 6th in assists per game

Nick Harden is a talent. While the GPAC is a BIG mans league, it’s been Harden who has been most impressive for Dakota Wesleyan. He isn’t shooting the 3 as well, but is still putting up great scoring numbers. If he can get the sot to fall, teams better watch out in the GPAC tournament!

#3 Jevon Knox 6’3 G MVNU

– 20th in the NAIA in FT% 88

– 47th in the NAIA in scoring at 19.28

ย

Jevon Knox is officially on the 2,000 career points watch list. He sits 33pts away and it’s possible he could get that today! Whether it’s today or the next game, what a great feat for a great player!

#15 Henry Speights 6’2 G/F Madonna

– 6th in the NAIA in scoring at 25.5ppg, leads the WHAC

With two All-Americans gone from last years team, Henry Speights has been left to pick up the slack and boy has he delivered. Speight with his size is a bully of a matchup. He is tough and physical and gets to rim. He is a bit undersized for a Forward, but too strong to guard with a small guard. He has a great motor that is fun watching.ย

#0 Jason Hubbard 6’6 F Taylor

– 14th in the NAIA in Total Points at 379

– 32nd in the NAIA in scoring with 19.94ppg, 4th in the Crossroads League

– 37th in the NAIA in Total Rebounds

– 40th in the NAIA in Total blocks

– 48th in the NAIA in ORPG with 2.789

Hubbard is having a great junior season. He has 10 straight games of 16pts or higher and has 6 double-doubles on the season. Hubbard is very active around the glass and this Taylor team has quietly been playing some good basketball here as of late.

#24 Eric Krus 6’7 F Benedictine

– 47th in the NAIA in 3FGMย

– 19th in the Heart in scoring at 14.65ppg

Krus was a Freshman on the Benedictine squad that spent most of the year at #1 in the rankings a couple seasons ago. Unfortunately, in the Sweet 16 game, Krus tore an ACL and it played a part in ending a magical Benedictine season. Krus has been a workhorse for this BC team. He can step out and hit the 3, but also plays hard. After being 2nd team All-Heart as a Freshman, he had a bit of a down year last season coming off of injury. It’s good to see him back playing good basketball!
