Game of the Day:

Loyola @ Xavier 7pm CT – Watch Live

We have a HUGE early season matchup down in Louisiana tonight. This is a battle of our #4 vs #22 ranked teams in our preseason poll. The game features 4 All-Americans in 1st Team All-American and GCAC Player of the Year, Rayshawn Mart (XULA), 2nd Team All-American, Zach Wrightsil (Loyola) and HM All-Americans Makye Richard (XULA) and Myles Burns (Loyola). So much talent on the floor in a game that should be a lot of fun!

Five Players To Watch

#5 Kae’Ron Baker 6’2, Louisiana College

Kae’ron and his Louisiana College teammates wasted no time in welcoming themselves into the NAIA as they beat Lindsey-Wilson 73-52. Kae’ron had a game high 19pts, to along with 6assts, 3rebs, 3stls.

Rayshawn Mart 6’4, Xavier. 2021-22 1st Team All-American

We have been on the Mart bandwagon for awhile now and it is good to see him finally get the recognition that he deserves. He is one of the best two way players in the country tonight and we most likely see him guarding Myles Burns tonight.

Terrance Jones 6’5, MACU. 2020-21 3rd Team All-American.

Jones is such a tough matchup as a big guard. He is so tough to guard going to the rim with his body and size. If he’s back to 100% healthy then he is a real problem!

Zach Wrightsil 6’7, Loyola. 2021-22 2nd Team All-American

If you love guys that play with high motors and give maximum effort, than Zach Wrightsil is your guy. Loyola is loaded with talent, but Wrightsil is the motor that keeps this team going.

Josh Powell-Davis 6’6, Hope International. 2020-21 HM All-American

At 6’6 320lbs, Josh is a BIG, BIG boy. But he is also a force. The 2x All-American is so tough to guard in the paint, especially if you allow him to get position, because you aren’t getting him off of his spot.
