While it wasn’t the start of the season the defending National Champs wanted to have, this Shawnee St team, once they get things figured out, are going to be pretty good. Pikeville, on the other hand, is a team that has things rolling to start the season. At 10-1 overall and 3-1 in MSC play, UPike sits just 1 game back of Thomas More for 1st place. If you have plans to win the MSC, you have to protect your home court and then go steal a few on the road! Big game for both in this one!
5pm: #13 Northwestern @ #17 Dakota St – Watch Live
Naturally a Top 20 matchup is going to be highlighted in most cases, but this one today is also a really fun matchup. Northwestern is coming off a big GPAC win over #10 Morningside. Following back to back losses to ranked teams. Dakota St has now won 6 straight games after losing back to back games including 1 game to #9 CUNE. These cross league matchups, between ranked foes, are always important ones!
6pm: RV Talladega @ #4 Southeastern (FL) – Watch Live
Talladega comes in HUNGRY and wanting to prove themselves as they sit at 12-1 and outside of the Top 25. This is a tough challenge for them though as SEU is loaded with talent and winning in the Furnace is no easy task! The Fire’s only loss this season was at #20 Bryan. They are a team that will put up a lot of points, so if Dega wants the upset tonight they are going to have to slow this SEU team down!
