Men’s Game of the Day
5pm: 1 Arizona Christian vs 18 Montana Tech
Really fun non-conference Top 25 battle today between ACU and Montana Tech. Arizona Christian has looked tough at home though, so Tech has their hands full here! We will see when Dennis Flowers makes his return for ACU, but the Firestorm have plenty of firepower in AJ Johnson, Bryce Davis, Paul Hayden and Trent Hudgens. They are already a super deep squad who can play inside/out. They will have their hands full today with Caleb Bellach, who is one of the top players in the NAIA. Tech has also gotten a lot of great things out of Sophomore Michael Ure and Junior Asa Williams. It’s a tough group, who will be hungry for a big win!
Women’s Game of the Day
1pm: 1 Thomas More vs Southeastern (FL)
This was a preseason Top 5 game. However, Southeastern has really struggled out of the gate. Life doesn’t get any easier today either as they face the defending National Champions, Thomas More. The Saints have a balanced attack that is led by Courtney Hurst, Alex Smith and Zoie Barth. The Saints are tough to guard as they can hurt you from all 5 spots on the floor. Southeasters depth will come into play today as they have basically been playing about 7 girls. They are currently led by Gabby Suarez and Raegan Linster. If they are going to pull off the upset tonight, they will need to get their 3pt shooting going. The Fire are just 31% from three. Big task to try and defeat Thomas More on their home court!
