Semifinal Breakdown
No. 1 Mayville State vs No. 4 Valley City State
Thomas Gieske leads Mayville State against a tough Valley City squad. He had 18pts in the QF’s win over Presentation. The win pushed Mayville State’s win streak to 6 straight games. These two teams split their regular season games. With VCSU winning the last game 102-98. Daevonte Munson and VCSU will look to pull off the upset tonight to advance to the NSAA Championship game.
No. 3 Dickinson State vs No. 7 Waldorf
7-seed Waldorf comes to Watertown after upsetting 2-seed Viterbo in the NSAA Quarterfinals. Oddly enough, Waldorf beat Viterbo twice over a period of 5 days. Noah Miller led the way in that one with 16 points. Khyle Washington, who leads them in scoring had 11pts, 8rebs and 7assts in the win. Dickinson State completed their 3 game season sweep of Dakota State in the QF’s. Kose Egbule led the balanced scoring attack with 13pts. Dickinson State has now won 7 of their last 9 games. Their last loss was actually to this Waldorf team on Feb. 4th.
