The NAIA Morning Bullet Points is a feature that gives you a quick run down of what is happening around the NAIA Hoops world!
- NAIA Hoops Report Game of the Week: Turns out NAIA DII #4 Morningside (IA) had other plans then to be our NAIA Hoops Report Game of The Week as they rolled past NAIA DI #9 Benedictine (KS) 93-63. All-American Zach Imig had a BIG night with 30pts and 10reb in the victory.
- I still think Benedictine will be fine. Coach Moody is a great coach, but they are still learning each other a bit, and honestly they really miss 6’7 Eric Krus. They may not be playing like a Top 10 team right now, but it’s still early in the year, and if they get healthy, they will be fine coming down the home stretch of the season.
- Morningside, on the other hand, is playing like a real national title contender. They just knocked off their third straight Top 25 opponent, and definitely look the part.
- Moving on to other games for today. The Appalachian Athletic Conference has another round of conference games today.
- A game to watch, if you’re willing to pay the $8, is NAIA DI Top 10 match up with #6 LSU-A playing at #8 Talladega. LSU-A set a program record with 20 made 3’s last night.
- We had another player join the 1k point club last night! Big Congrats to Oregon Tech’s Seth Erickson
- The NAIA Schedule and Links to Watch will be out soon! Another awesome game slate!
