Five Players To Watch
Ryan Miller 5’11 Jr G, Grand View 25.5ppg/6.0rpg
The first two games of the 2020-21 season have been a bit of a coming out party for Ryan Miller. The Junior has lit up the nets from the 3 point line this year, and is going to need a big night if the Vikings plan to knock off #4 William Penn.
Cory Reeves 6’6 Sr F Park (MO)
Tonight is their first game of the season, and first game in their new league. The Heart is always tough and adding a 2nd Team All-American like Cory to the league just adds to the quality of the Heart.ย
Garrett Franken 6’7 Sr F Dordt – 14ppgg/7.6rpgย
It feels like Franken, an All-American, has been at Dordt forever, but the Senior is off to a great start of the year averaging 14ppg and leading the Norse in both rebounds and steals.ย
Tony Burks 6’2 Jr G Columbia – 22.5ppg/5.2rpg
The dynamic scorer has had 3 games with 25 or more points. Burks is coming off of being named the AMC player of the week. Dega is a tough team, but Burks is an elite scorer who is capable of putting CC on his back to get a very nice win tonight.ย
Nate Gehring 6’10 Sr F William Penn – 12.7ppg/7.3rpg
The Statesmen, through 3 games, have had 3 different leading scorers. None of which have been Gehring. The big man is both skilled and athletic, and part of balanced attack. Look for him to have a big game tonight.ย
One of the articles that, unfortunately, was pulled from this year’s magazine was the Non-Conference games that we have circled to watch! These are simply
