It was another skinny schedule of games due to postponements as the KCAC saw just three conference games played this week and four in total.
RV Oklahoma Wesleyan def. Kansas Wesleyan 85-70
Sophomore guard Kaleb Stokes helped propel the Eagles to a big win over Kansas Wesleyan on Tuesday, scoring 28 points on 12-15 shooting to help lead OKWU to an 85-70 win on the road. The Eagles scored 50 first half points and built up an 18-point advantage at the break en route to the conference victory. Preseason All-KCAC player Brooks Haddock also added 19 points for the Eagles. Oklahoma Wesleyan has now won two straight conference games after dropping the opening game.
Bethel def. York 83-73
The Threshers outscored the Panthers 16-8 in the final stretch of the game, turning a two-point lead with under ten minutes into the double-digit victory. Two members of the Bethel squad tallied 20-point games, led by Bryant Mocabyโs 22 points. Jaylon Scott also secured 21 points, finishing with a double-double with 10 rebounds as well. Bethel went the final 2:11 without the benefit of a made field goal, but held York to just four points during that span.
Southwestern def. Barclay 117-82
The Moundbuilders stepped out of conference to take on the Barclay Bears, coasting to the 35-point victory. Five members of Southwestern reached double figures, led by Geoff Salasโ 25 and Steele Gaston-Chapmanโs 24 points. Southwestern shot 62 percent for the game.
Bethel def. Tabor 77-72
The most exciting game of the week came in Hillsboro as the Threshers erased a 13-point deficit over the final four minutes of play, using a 19-3 run to steal the road victory over the Bluejays. Tabor led by as many as 21 points in the game and 14 in the second half before a late run, fueled by Jaylon Scottโs 28 points as well as a defensive presence that forced 21 Tabor turnovershelped pull off the improbable comeback win. Bethelโs two wins on the week puts them over .500 in the KCAC at 3-2.
