Five Players To Watch
Kadavion Evans and LeAndre Washington make up one of the best back court duos in NAIA. The HM All-American from last season has picked up the slack left by 1st Team All-American Tre’Quan Knight. Evans already has a quadruple-double on the season. He is 13th in NAIA in scoring at 23.44ppg, is 15th in NAIA in steals at 2.78spg and is also averaging 7.2rpg from the guard position. Kadavion and LSU-Shreveport should roll today against The University of the Southwest.
The Freshman has exploded onto the scene for Wayland Baptist this year. Through his first five games of his career, Avent is averaging 20ppg and 4.2rpg. He is shooting a blistering 47% from 3 and is currently the #2 scorer in the Sooner Athletic Conference. The Freshman gets another home game tonight as his confidence continues to build.
Jordan is coming off a week where he put up 17pts on Thomas and 22pts on Webber International. He has really stepped his game up from last season as he leads Coastal Georgia in scoring at 16.55ppg and rebounds at 9.3rpg. He has five double-doubles on the season thus far.
The reigning Southern States Athletic Conference Player of the Week will be looking to add another big game to his resume tonight as Mobile will look to upset #5 Loyola. RJ is former D1 transfer, who played last season at Talladega. In 3 games last week, the Senior averaged 23ppg, 11rpg, 4.3apg and 3.0spg. RJ is really active and talented. He and his Rams have a big challenge at home tonight!
Just a Junior, Kline is putting together a really good season. He is averaging 14.5ppg and 7.2rpg and is part of a really good front court with Rog Stein. Kline was a 1st team All-WHAC and HM All-American member as a Sophomore. Really good player for Indiana Tech.
