KEY PLAYERS:
Tony Burks – Columbia: 18.3ppg, 5.8rpg
Tony won the AMC scoring title this season and is a the main option in a really balanced Columbia offense. He hasn’t shot the ball great this season, but it hasn’t stopped him from producing each and every night.
Tedrick Wolfe – Central Baptist: 14.8ppg, 5.1rpg
Tedrick has been the staple for CBC this season. He is one of the guys that was on this team a year ago when they lost in the AMC Championship game to Harris-Stowe. Expect Wolfe to be really motivated to extend his season!
Shakeel Butters – Williams Baptist: 15.1ppg, 11.6rpg,
Shakeel is one of the best players in the AMC. He is a fierce rebounder on both ends of the floor and leads the AMC in RPG wile also being 3rd in PPG.
KEY TEAMS:
#1 Lyon – We can’t understate what a great job Coach Chad Tapp has done with this Lyon program and now winning their 1st ever AMC Title, and first conference title of any kind since 1982-83. The Scots force people to play their style and are tough and gritty defensively.
#2 Central Baptist – The Favorite to win the league coming into the year, but lost in the last game of the year to fall into 2nd place. This is a deep CBC team that will be motivated to win the tournament after falling short last season!
UPSET SPECIAL:
#4 Columbia – We usually try and pick a team outside the Top 4 seeds, but with a smaller league we are going to go ahead and go with Columbia. They have beaten each of the Top 3 seeds this season already and is a team that won 9 of it’s last 12 games of the season.
Play In Game Notes:
Lyon locked up the only regular season matchup between the two teams. Winning that game by 14pts. William Woods is trying to use their “under dog” mentality to motivate their guys and try to make a run at the tournament title. They took care of business in the play-in game, but hit the road for a tough one tonight against a very well coached Lyon team.

Columbia 1-0
This Columbia team has had it’s ups and downs this year, but will look to make a run at the AMC Tournament Title now. Tony Burks is really talented, but they will need some consistent play from others to win a title. Williams Baptist is led by Shakeel Butters who is averaging a double-double. This should be a really fun game.

This MoBap team has had an interesting season, but have won 7 of their last 9 contests. They are good enough to win the AMC Tournament, but will need good tournaments from Yaeger and Hardy!

CBC 2-0
Not only did CBC sweep the regular season series, but they did so in commanding fashion with an 18 and 23 point victories. Central Baptist should be fine at home tonight, but again we have seen stranger things in Conference Tournament play before!

– Of The Top 4 seeds, Lyon is the only one to not have won a AMC Tournament Title in the past. Central Baptist -2019, Columbia -2018, Missouri Baptist 2005.

Our Pick To Win It: Central Baptist – Ultimately, they have the best talent in the league. They should be really motivated after losing the final game of the season to cost them the AMC Title and they should have some extra motivation coming off of last seasons loss in the AMC Title game.
