#5 Loyola (LA) 2-0 @ RV Dillard (LA) 3-0, 6pm CT
Loyola is coming off a nice road win against RV Xavier. This is a bit of a different pace of play tonight though as Dillard is averaging 101.7ppg. Dillard is coming off of a good home win against RV Central Baptist. Dillard, after not getting an at-large bid last season, has really stepped up their non-conference strength of schedule. While this is a big game for them, they actually have plenty of non-conference games left that will help that SOS and RPI rating. They are led in scoring by Jay Malone, who is averaging 29ppg thru 3 games. Tonight is a step up in competition though as Loyola is super talented and deep. All-Americans Zach Wrightsil and Myles Burns are great, but neither has been a leading scorer in their first two games. Going to be another fun one down in Cajun Country.
Bellevue (NE) 1-1 @ MidAmerica Nazarene (KS) 1-0, 7pm CT
Preseason Tournament Championship games always make for fun GOTD. This is the final season for MNU Head Coach Rocky Lamar. Who is the active All-Time wins leader in the NAIA. The Pioneers have a ton of returners from a group who got better and better as the season went on last year. Anthony Brown is one of the best players in the NAIA. He burst onto the scene as a Freshman in 2019-20, earning All-American honors. Brown had 21pts in last nights win and is a player Bellevue is going to have to limit in order to get the upset tonight. Speaking of the Bruins, Bellevue has a lot of new faces this season. They are currently led by Vinny Belcaster with 13.0ppg. As a team team they are currently averaging 65ppg. With MNU averaging over 100ppg, you can expect a clash of styles in this one!
