Two teams who lost All-Americans for this season. SAU opens up their season tonight so we will get our first look at them without John Kerr. The Bees will be leaning on Tm Kazanecki and Ben Schols to fill bigger roles this season. Mt Mercy comes in with a 2-0 record. Returners, Reyshean Webb and Bailey Basala have been lights out to start the year. Basala has had back to back 20+ point games, averaging 23.5ppg. Webb comes in averaging 18.5ppg.
Philander Smith @ Wiley – 7:30pm CT
Philander is 2-1 while Wiley comes in at 3-1. The two teams losses were by a combined six points though. This may not be a game between two ranked opponents, but it has the makings of a very good game. Senior Forward, Timothy Holland has been great for Wiley, averaging 20.3ppg. Philander Smith is a bit more of a balanced lineup, with three players averaging double figures, led by Kenneth Perkins 13.5ppg. This will be a low scoring affair, but again, should be a good one!
