Another tough road test for XULA as they head over to Mississippi to play a very under the radar, William Carey team. Legendary Head Coach, Steve Knight is in his 40th season at the helm for WCU. He has the Knights at 2-0 coming into tonight’s contest. Last week they lost an exhibition game to Southern Miss, 81-67. Xavier comes in at 5-1, with that only loss coming at the hands of #5 Loyola. If they are going to come away with a tough road win, they are going to have to slow down Arturro Bingham of William Carey. Arturro is averaging 19.5ppg while shooting a blistering 60% from the 3pt line thru his first two games. Xavier counters with All-Americans Rayshawn Mart and Makye Richard. Going to be a fun one tonight in Hattisburg.
Trinity Christian @ St Francis (IL) 7pm CT
The last time we had Trinity Christian on the Games of the Day list, it was against Saint Francis (IN). A game in which they would like to soon forget. However, this is a good little CCAC matchup for this evening. James Pennington has been great for the Trolls. Sophomore Braxton Barnhizer has really stepped his game up from last season as well. They hit the road tonight to play a Saint Francis (IL) team that sits at 2-1. The Fighting Saints are a very well balanced team. Both teams are looking to make steps up inside of the CCAC this season. They can help themselves out with a win tonight.
