As we head into a big weekend of action we already have quite a few teams who have punched tickets to the NAIA National Championships! That isn’t the entire story though. We still have plenty of teams this weekend who aren’t just playing for championships or seeding, but who are playing for their season! Not everyone makes their conference tournament, so a lot of seasons and careers will be coming to a close this weekend as well! It may be the best time of year as we watch teams compete at higher levels as they try to secure Championships or post season births, but also know that for many, it is also the last time they will ever put on a collegiate uniform. To those whose careers are coming to an end, a GIANT THANK YOU, for choosing to play NAIA basketball. No matter if you average zero minutes or 40, you make up a small percentage of high school athletes who get the shot to play college athletics. - No. 2 Loyola survives Stillman for the 2nd time in just a matter of days. This time getting a game winner from Brandon Davis to win 81-80. (Recap) The win breaks a 77-year old program record for most wins in a season with 21. The 1944-45 team that held the record, won a National Title. They hold a 1 game lead over Talladega with the two set to duel on Sunday.
- No. 11 Carroll defeated Providence, 93-56. (Recap) and No. 14 Montana Tech beat MSU Northern, 73-56. (Recap) Both Carroll and Montana Tech are named Co-Champions in the Frontier Conference. Carroll will have the 1-seed and home court advantage in the FC Tournament. It’s Montana Tech’s first conference title since 1994. The win, for Carroll, was Head Coach Kurt Paulson’s 100th career win!

- Wayland Baptist knocked off No. 16 SAGU, 94-74. (Recap) Wayland has now won 6 of their last 7 games and have a shot at a Top 4-seed in the SAC Tournament. SAGU was without the services of Joshua Kashila, Nykolas Mason and Tyler Kinghorn.
- No. 4 William Jessup returns home after a rough Arizona road trip and takes care of a struggling The Master’s squad, 92-77. (Recap) The win gives Jessup the most wins in program history. They continue to be without the services of Myles Corey, but Tarren Storey-Way stepped up big in this one with a career-high 32pts.

- The North Star has been crazy all year long, today we will finally get some answers, as it is the last games of the regular-season. It is a mess with tiebreakers right now and scenarios in which five different teams could wind up NSAA Regular Season Champions. Right now Bellevue and Viterbo are tied for 1st. Viterbo hosts Waldorf tonight. Bellevue hosts Dakota State.
