Top Players
Trequan Spivey, IU Kokomo – 16.7ppg, 3.6rpg, 3.8apg. IS 5th in ppg, 5th in assists, 1st in FT’s in the RSC. Trequan is one of the best playmakers in the NAIA.
Desean Hampton, IU Kokomo – 12.5ppg, 10.7rpg. Leads the RSC in rpg. He is one of the best defenders in the league and has really been good down the stretch.
Tamon Scruggs, WVU Tech – Hasn’t played since January 9th. Not sure if he is returning or not, but if he does he is one of, if not THE best player in the RSC.
Shiloah Blevins, Rio Grande – 15.5ppg, 6.1rpg. Blevins is inside the Top 20 in the RSC in Ppg, blocks, rpg, FT’s and FG’s.
Miki Tadic, Rio Grande – 17.5ppg, 4.1rpg, 2.5apg. Miki is one of the best players in the league. He is 6th in ppg, 17th in assits, 11th in 3pt% and 1st in 3pointers. He’s the type that can get hot and carry this Rio team deep into this tournament.
Will Philpot, Alice Lloyd – Not their leading scorer, but is just one of two guys in the RSC who average a double-double with 12.5ppg and 10.4rpg.
Underdog to Win the RSC Tournament
Rio Grande – Qualified for the NAIA National Tournament last season after making it to the RSC Finals last year. They are a bit young still, but have the tournament experience and have some momentum coming into the tournament.
