NAIA Hoops Report Game of the Week
Men’s Games of the Day
2pm: Bethel (IN) @ Saint Francis (IN)
Bethel is coming off of their first loss of the season, against a good No. 13 William Penn team. Saint Francis comes in off of a big crosstown rivalry win against No. 17 Indiana Tech. Drew Lutz is the 2x CL POW, but Antwaan Cushinberry is one of the elite guards in the country and will have his Cougars ready to go!
Point Park sits at 5-0 on the season. WVU Tech is the favorites to win the River States Conference. If Point Park wants to make a statement in the RSC, they can do it with a win today. WVU Tech has been a little banged up early, but Andrew Work has gone to work and while this is a “home game” it’s actually not being played at the Convention Center. This is a great opportunity for Jo Valrie, and Point Park, to prove themselves.
Women’s Games of the Day
Noon: 1 Thomas More @ 18 Georgetown
There isn’t a better double header in the country then what will take place today in Georgetown! The Thomas More and Georgetown women will get things kicked off in a Top 25 showdown. The defending national champs have played a tough schedule thus far, so heading on the road today shouldn’t phase them! Georgetown does provide a different playing style then they have seen to this point though. Should be a fun afternoon in Georgetown, Kentucky!
5pm: Tabor @ 10 Sterling
A battle of the two best teams in the KCAC. Sterling has kind of owned the league as of late, but Tabor is tough, and even in a road game, they have the ability to hang with Sterling. With that being said, Sterling is playing some great basketball right now. Even coming off of a road loss to No. 9 Central Methodist, Sterling battled that entire game in a tough road environment. They are the cream of the crop in the KCAC and will look to continue that today!
