Notes
- There is a new No. 1 team in the country, and it is the Yotes of College of Idaho who take over the top spot!
- With Iowa Wesleyan coming in at No. 25 this week, joining Florida College (No. 21), The Continental Athletic Conference (Independents) have two teams inside of the Top 25 for the first time since the merger to 1 division.
- The Defending National Champions, Loyola, make the jump into the Top 25, coming in at No. 22.
Who’s New?
No. 22 Loyola (LA) – As we mentioned above, the defending National Champions, who have now won 24-straight Southern States Athletic Conference games, jumps back into the Top 25.
No. 24 Menlo (CA) – Menlo has been red hot, moving themselves into 2nd place in the GSAC. Landon Seaman, Patrick Ryan, Kaito Williams and Corey Le’aupepe have been terrific, and the Oaks deserve the nod!
No. 25 Iowa Wesleyan – First year Head Coach, Jordan Ashton, has the Tigers playing GREAT basketball. They have won 15 straight games, including a Top 25 win over No. 13 William Penn.
Who’s Out?
Wayland Baptist (TX) – A talented team, that hasn’t played great basketball since the last polls. Losing 3 more games and moving to 5-4 in Sooner Athletic Conference play. A dangerous team though if they can find their stride.
Carroll (MT) – It wasn’t a good end to last semester for Carroll as they lost five straight games before getting abck in the win column this past weekend.
Huntington (IN) – Two straight losses headed into the polls can doom a team. This is a very good Forester team though, led by one of the best guards in the country in Zach Goodline.
Biggest Movers
No. 8 Freed-Hardeman (TN) – Up 9 spots from No. 19.
No. 11 Indiana Tech – Up 5 spots from No. 16.
No. 7 Indiana Wesleyan – Up 4 spots from No. 11.
No. 13 William Penn – Up 4 spots from No. 17.
No. 17 Kansas Wesleyan – Up 4 spots from No. 21.
